Austrian bike maker KTM has landed a teaser video of a new Duke model that will be presented later this month at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy.
KTM AG has a new landing site dedicated to the next generation Dukes. It only features a short teaser video and a date, November 8, for the moment, but that is enough to spark our imagination.

The short video isn’t giving away too much about the new bike, but it does show the all-new full LED split-headlight we saw earlier on test mules and spy photos.

Another thing to notice is that growling sound, which I do hope it hasn’t been digitally enhanced in some way. That is supposed to be generated by a new engine but it surely doesn’t sound like a single-cylinder that will equip the new KTM 200 Duke and 390 Duke models.

This only leaves space for the much-awaited Duke 800 street-fighter. The model has been under development for quite some time now and it is believed to be powered by an 800 cc twin-cylinder lump to replace the Duke 690, or at least offer an alternative between that and the big 1290 Super Duke.

The new Duke 800 will battle against the Kawasaki Z800, Ducati Monster 821, and Triumph Street Triple, offering that raw look KTM has accustomed us so far. Expect a new frame with independent rear subframe, standard ABS for Europe, a better dashboard, ride-by-wire throttle with different riding modes and traction control.

Along with the all-new model, KTM will also unveil the 390 Duke and 200 Duke at the EICMA show next week. The design of the two is inspired by the Super Duke and will also come with the two-piece frame seen in spy photos.

The two will be powered by slightly more powerful engines than the outgoing versions and will also get new features. For example, the 390 is expected to get ride-by-wire throttle with modes, a new TFT color display, slipper clutch, LED lights and a side-mounted exhaust.

Stick around for more information soon. We’re expecting more teasing to come before the final unveil next week.
