While the Nissan GT-R may not be ‘a real supercar’, because not enough of them have burst into flames since its launch, perhaps the balance is beginning to fail, as one GT-R was recently burnt to a crisp, on the Golden Port Circuit, just north of Beijing, in China.
Not many details are available, but apparently the highly-tuned Nissan was pushing 1,000 hp, and probably not well insulated enough for heat - the rest is pretty self explanatory. As we can see from the pictures, the fire was pretty severe, and by the looks of it, the fire engulfed the interior first, as the nose of the car can still be seen intact, with headlights on and everything, despite the fact that the fire is raging two feet back.

Also, since the source does not mention anything about the driver getting hurt, we can assume he or she escaped unharmed. Too bad for his GT-R, though.
