Famous film director George Lucas and actor Samuel L. Jackson have recently visited the production area and met Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo, while they were on a brief trip to Italy. The two megastars also took short interviews in which they’ve talked about their passion for the Italian exotic car and about they’re experiences of racing and driving sportscars.
Star Wars movies creator George Lucas and Captain America star Samuel L.Jackson, along some family members and friends visited the production area in Maranello, Italy. Even though we’re not quite sure if they’ve decided to buy a sports car, according to the short interviews they took at the end of the visit, it would seem they are great Ferrari fans.
Samuel L. Jackson told the reporters that he always associates Ferrari with speed and Italy, and that even though he is a big fan of the exotic new models, classic cars have always been his favorites. “I’m used to seeing guys that have the big Ferraris that have the engines in the back in L.A. but I love the classic look of the other cars. It sort of makes me wish I had one when I was younger and not now, because the older cars seem to have more character to me.”
For George Lucas Ferrari is. before anything else, the world’s best racing team and his long time favorite car. The famous director also races fast cars and says he looks up to the Italian manufacturer. “I loved cars ever since I was little and I got involved in racing cars since I was 14, and that was in the late ‘50s, when Ferrari was No.1 I’ve been a Ferrari fan since I can remember. The first car that I got was a Fiat, that I used to race, I almost got killed in it.”
