Frankfurt 2011: Volkswagen Nils Concept [Live Photos]
Following the same sort of idea for urban transportation as Audi’s Urban Concept, the Nils goes even beyond in our minds by taking practicality into account. Gone is the silly seating arrangement for two, as it’s being replaced by a single commodious seat.
The concept is powered by a single electric motor that sits behind the driver and provides 20 hp or 33.5 hp for a short period of time. This only has to push 460kg or 1,014 pounds worth of aluminum and plastic, and it manages to do so at a respectable top speed of 130km/h (81mph). Range is expected to be around 65 kilometers or 40 miles.
