Although most people have been waiting for the Detroit Auto Show to commence in order to finally see the 2015 Corvette Z06 or the new Porsche 911 Targa, we were really anxious to have a look at the redesigned 2015 Ford F-150.
With more than 700,000 units sold last year, the F-Series is the Big Kahuna in the United States, the Grand Poobah if you will, and that won’t change very soon. Now fitted with an aluminum alloy body and packed with state-of-the-art features, the F-150 is THE King of the Detroit Auto Show.

Sure, we can’t ignore the tens of other vehicles showcased at the Cobo Center, but we must reiterate that the 2015 F-150 marks the beginning of a brand new era for the pickup truck industry. Revealed yesterday, the truck is 700 pounds lighter that the 2014 model and is equipped with 11 class-exclusive features.

The new F-150 is also getting an all-new 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine, but these are just a few of the features the Blue Oval manufacturer is looking to introduce later this year. Meanwhile, we have a few live photos with the SuperCrew model that’s currently being displayed at the Detroit Auto Show, but be sure to stay tuned for more details on the brand new truck.
