Olivier François, Global Head of Fiat Brand, unveils the new Panda 4x4 at the paris Motor Show 2012. This is the last addition to the Panda family, one that’s proven to be be very popular because of its small size and strong performance offroad.
The Panda 4x4 is the tiniest all-wheel drive car in Europe. This A-segment car only measures 3,680mm in length, 1,670mm width and 1,600mm height. It’s wheelbase is only 2.3 meters and the front track of 1,410mm is excellent for the city.
The only two engines offeredd are the 85 hp 0.9 TwinAir turbo petrol and a 75 hp 1.3 MultiJet II diesel. The manual transmission does its best at crawling up hills in first gear. The AWD system used by the car features two viscous diffs and electronically controlled coupling.
Fiat also launched two more version of the Panda, the Natural Power and the Trekking in Paris.
