The Fiat 500L has just received its first TV commercial, which was recently aired in Italy. It is a family-friendly ad which emphasizes the 500L’s family carrying abilities, while adding a bit of... fantasy flavor into the mix.
One of the passengers, a young boy, has the ability to enlarge everything he sees outside the (rather large) window. How does he achieve this? Well, he paints an ‘L’ symbol in the air in a Harry Potter-ish kind of way.
This ad will undoubtedly hit its target, as its cute nature will bring Citroen C3 Picasso and Opel Meriva buyers into Fiat showrooms, to at least look at the 500L.
We do appreciate that Fiat has given up trying to sell cars using large breasts, and we say they should focus more on the creativity of the ad, and the idea behind it, as they have done here.
