Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) has announced the provisional 2014 Formula One calendar, which includes 22 races, of which three have yet to be confirmed.
Probably the biggest surprise is the inclusion of the New Jersey Grand Prix of America, which was off the governing body's list last month, when Ecclestone said "it's not on the cards for next year" because the organizers "haven't got any money".
Besides New Jersey, the 2014 calendar also includes events in Austria, Mexico, and Russia. The first is scheduled to take place on June 22, right after the Canadian GP, while Mexico would host the penultimate race of the season, on November 16. If confirmed, the New Jersey street circuit should see some action on June 1, right after Monte Carlo and before Canada. Already confirmed, the Russian GP will take place on an all-new track in Sochi, home to the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
