Chrysler is currently working on a new generation of the Viper, but the supercar isn’t expected to arrive until next year and it seems that all this waiting can push people to do extreme things.
Let’s take the vehicle from the adjacent images, for example: why wait for a new Viper, when you can create your own, converting a racing model into a street-legal one.

The project has been handled by Heurich Classics, a German company that deals with old school rides, which received a truly special order from the owner of a 1998 Zakspeed Racing Dodge Viper GTS-R, who wanted his vehicle to be a street-legal replica of the Hasseroder Viper GTS-R that took the victory in the 24 hours of Nurburgring 1999 endurance race.

This means that the car had to comply with strict regulations and thus required modifications such as the addition of a hand brake, an increase for the steering angle, the removal of the rear diffuser, as well as the addition of street tires.

Under those Hasseroder livery body, we have a 6.2-liter V8 that produces 600 hp and uses a Tremec six-speed manual transmission. You can imagine the level of sensations offered by this car, considering that it tips the scales at 1,350 kg (2,796 lbs).
