Citroen's C6 Noir et Blanc Concept Is Coming to Geneva

With a torrent of new cars, facelifts and special edition models announced, this year’s Geneva Motor Show event promises to be one of the busiest ever. French carmaker Citroen’s designers have decided to bring a pair of new concepts, namely the C3 Red Block and C6 Noir et Blanc, to the company's display area. Both car feature “expressive approaches to colors and materials”. Despite the fact that they are still called concepts, we are pretty sure they will arrive as limited edition-production models in the near future. While the C3 comes with a bold combination of red and gray, the C6 concept should appeal to a more grown-up clientele, with its classy exterior finished in white and sporting a few extra chrome details at the front. If it makes it to production, we can also expect an extensive list of interior goodies to arrive as standard. Despite its elegant proportions and the unique rear window it comes with, the C6 is long overdue for a complete makeover. The design, which dates back to 2006, was inspired by the Lignage prototype which was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in the spring of 1999. The car’s main selling point is its innovative technology that differs from what German manufacturers provide in this segment. This includes a head-up display, lane departure warning system, xenon directional headlamps, Hydractive suspension with electronically controlled springing and damping, and a rear spoiler which automatically adjusts to speed and braking. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
