Take a moment to remember the feeling you get when entering a scrapyard. You can also translate this into the scale model world, as these little cars also have their purgatories. We can now show you an example of this, which comes from French producer AutoArt.
As you can notice in the gallery below, there are multiple levels during a scale model’s life when this ends up being scrapped. Many of these never end up on people’s desks, as they fail to pass the paint quality check during the production phase.

Other die cast model cars are simply damaged after having been misused and are still fortunate enough to return to their maker. We say “fortunate” becase while you may see a room full of abandoned models here, these won’t go to waste.

Instead, they are being recycled, which means that they’ll reincarnate and find owners. Who knows, they might even end up in the hands of a collector’s - which model car wouldn’t want such a life instead of having to rack up living room miles under the rule of an overenthusiastic child? And the chances are fair for each car - one that used to be a mere bugdet model could very well become a supercar in its future life.

On a side note, many aficionados would like to get their hands on such bargains, as they could used them for their custom builds.
