BMW X6 M Detailed
The teaser shows the X6 M prototype equipped with an upgraded V8 M Turbo engine with twin scroll turbo chargers, also found on the 7 Series. The car sports an all-wheel-drive system plus BMW's Dynamic Performance Control, installed on the standalone X6.
Here are some quotes from the video posted by BMW-web.tv (the clip is also available just after the end of the article):
“V8 M Turbo Engine with twin scroll turbo chargers – enhanced, of course. All in this all-wheel-drive X6,” he said about the engine. Talking about the chassis, Limmer explained that “the systems are equal to the basis-version, but more rear-concentrated. It should behave like a rear wheel drive. There's less torque at the front axle. The car is less understeered and keeps in track.”
Just like the X5 M, the X6 M comes with BMW's Dynamic Performance Control. “The motor will vary the torque from the right to the left. So the faster wheel will even be faster, instead of slower,” Limmer explained.
