BMW's Goodies for 2009

With 2009 quickly approaching, people have already started talking about models to come next year, including several goodies prepared by German carmaker BMW. For those of you who don't know, the Detroit Auto Show is set to debut in January, with the event expected to bring multiple new models, including a couple of BMW upgraded vehicles. The 2009 BMW Z4 is the first in an impressive series of models due to be unveiled in 2009, according to BMWBlog, with the redesigned car to be showcased at BMW's booth in Detroit.

A few months later, in March, the German automaker comes with some of the most interesting innovations it has ever launched: the Progressive Activity Sedan, Concept eDrive, BMW Z4 Individual and Rolls-Royce EX120 Concept, according to the aforementioned source. Basically, we're only talking about car concepts but, taking into account that they underline BMW's efforts to step into the electric vehicle market, they're pretty important.

Then, there's the Shanghai Auto Show which, according to the folks at BMWBlog, will come with 760 Li, dubbed top BMW 7 Series variant, followed by 7er xDrive and 7 Series Hybrid.

And beside all of these, BMW will also start the production of X1, with the mass-production model to be displayed at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The MINI Crossover is also set to debut at the same auto event.

Although there's no information confirmed, BMW may also bring out the Z Vision Concept, according to the aforementioned which quoted a source close to BMW.

“Think of something with smaller proportions, but more modern or current styling of the Z8. This means headlights positioned on the corner of each front wings with a wide twin-kidney grille similar to the CS Concept but not as wide. No windscreen but a speedster style screen and a twin individual cabin layout where the aluminum metal skin actually joins on to the dashboard separating the driver from the passenger,” the source described the concept for BMWBlog.
