Honda will be focusing on fuel economy and safety, with their all-new 2013 Accord, while not neglecting style. The car is lighter than its predecessor, and boasts a more sober and Germanic look to it (with a decent helping of Kia), despite the fact that officials claim it is “the most sculpted and the most dynamic Accord yet."
They have shown both the sedan and the coupe, with the latter being the more stylish of the two. Aside from the new styling language, which may or may not appeal to fans of the brand, the new car is a lot more aerodynamic than the outgoing model, with a very low drag coefficient, flush-mounted windscreen wipers and a specially designed underbody.
While Honda has made no official claims on the new car’s engine range, we expect it to be carried over from the current model, with minor economy-minded tweaks. The new car will also have more equipment as standard, which includes both comfort and safety features. More details about the car will be revealed this fall.
