2014 Jeep Cherokee Unveiled at the New York Auto Show [Photo Gallery]
We had enough time to judge the SUV's controversial front end, but we hadn't seen the rear end in official photos until now. And if you had a hard time swallowing that lemon-sucking face, you're in for a big surprise at the back folks.
It looks… well, it looks plain awful and it had lost all of its Jeep heritage, so to speak. We're not going to start bashing it just yet, though. The whole 2014 Jeep Cherokee sports a very difficult design which somehow clogs up those vents that help keep the subjective and frivolous part of the brain cool down. So we're just going to tell you about the vehicle's engines for now…
As we've learned from Chrysler comprehensive press release, the 2014 Cherokee, will be available in both frond and all-wheel drive with a choice and with two engine options: a 2.4-liter four-cylinder boasting 184 HP and a new 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 developing 271 HP. Furthermore, the 2014 Cherokee is the first compact crossover SUV to gain a standard nine-speed automatic transmission.
According to Jeep, the new Cherokee will be available in four different models, Sport, Latitude, Limited and Trailhawk, with 11 exterior colors, and will hit dealerships in the third quarter 2013.
Heck, we can't hold it any longer: that rear end looks like a fat Kia! Or a Hyundai, we can't make up our minds. There, we said it!
