Earlier this week we reported that the 2014 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet has completed its first testing session at the South Georgia Motorsport Park. A full video and performance figures have yet to be revealed, but Ford Racing didn't waste any time and posted a few video teasers.
One of them features the musclecar doing a burnout, while the second clip show the Cobra Jet running a quarter mile with the new parachute popping out at the end. We don't know about you, but we're really anxious to see more footage with Ford's next factory dragster.
In case you've missed our previous reports, the 2014 Cobra Jet gained a new three-speed race transmission with SFI approved housing and a new parachute mount for speeds exceeding 150 MPH. In addition, the musclecar comes with two new custom colors, “Gotta Have It Green” and Cobra Jet-exclusive “Flat Black”, just like the one tested last week.
The 2014 Cobra Jet is powered by the same 5.0-liter TiVCT engine and Whipple 2.9-liter supercharger combo as last year’s iteration, it's limited to only 50 units, and costs $97,990 without optional paints and graphics. Until further info is released, scroll below to see the dragster make its video debut.
