With the great Caroll Shelby having left this world at the age of 89, he had time to build his legacy of wonderful cars. His creations have accumulated a huge fan-base all over the world, and what better way of paying one’s respects than revving the V8s which powered most of his cars.
Last Wednesday, Shelby branded cars all over the world revved their engines in unison and the whole planet echoed of V8 thunder. The engines’ RPMs were synchronized and the car saluted Shelby symbolically, making a simply awesome noise.
This is honestly one of the most evocative events we have ever seen, really. It just goes to show that the real automotive icons never die, and despite the cliche, they do live on through their cars and their work.
