2013 Corvette to Get Seven-Speed Manual

When the world found out that Porsche will be putting a seven-speed manual into the new 911, everybody was thrilled by the amount of driver involvement implied by that. Well, you’d better start exercising your biceps, triceps or whatever muscle(s) you’re using to change gear, as there’s a new seven speed manual coming!

According to an Inside Line tweet, the upcoming C7 generation of the Chevrolet Corvette will also receive such a goodie: "A trusted source tells us the C7 Corvette will be offered with a 7-speed manual gearbox. Yes, seven."

So, will our children drive cars with 14-speed truck transmissions?
