Although MPVs might not be the hottest things on the road, they are still quite in demand. This is the case of Ford’s B-Max small MPV and the company’s assembly plant in Craiova, Romania where the 100,000th vehicle was built.
The milestone car was ordered by a local customer and had one aggressive look, all thanks to the Panther Black Titanium shade. Concerning its power, the small MPV incorporated a Craiova-built 1.0 liter EcoBoost engine plus Ford Easy Access Door System and Ford MyKey technology. This last one allows parents to restrict they children’s actions in order to promote safety.
Also, the small MPV can be ordered with Ford Sync voice-activated, in-car connectivity system that is more than helpful since it can alert emergency services operators to an accident in 26 different languages. So, one can see that the vehicle is perfect for families, thus the large amount of Ford MPVs ordered.
All in all, it is quite a big achievement for Ford, General Manager Vehicle Operations, Ford Romania Vic Startek saying that the company is very proud of the B-Max and the fact that they have managed to reach this number (100,000) in just 18 months.
