MOTO GUZZI Griso 850 (2006-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Griso prototype was introduced for the first time in 2002 at the Intermot Show in Munich under the Tecnocustom designation. Its design was realized by Rodolfo Frascoli from Marabese Design.

The Moto Guzzi Griso was a range of naked road motorcycles manufactured by Moto Guzzi between 2005 and 2016 in three different engine sizes. The 1100 was presented in August 2005, the 850 in April 2006, and the 1200 8V in November 2006 and sold since September 2007.

In 2006, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Moto Guzzi Griso 850, the smaller sister of the Griso 1100. Both motorcycles were similar with only differences spinning around the smaller stroke, less power and torque, no oil cooler on the right side, and the smaller price.

The bike had standard features such as a round headlight up front with instruments mounted on top, a wide handlebar, a one-piece dual seat, a two-into-one exhaust system mounted on the left side, and three-spoke lightweight aluminum wheels.

The 2006 Moto Guzzi Griso 850 had its soul brought to life by an 877cc four-stroke air-cooled two-cylinder engine with a fuel injection system feeding the pistons, delivering 75 hp at 7,800 rpm and 71 Nm (52 lb-ft) torque at 6,800 rpm.

The bike's power was transferred to a six-speed transmission with a dry manual clutch, sending it to the rear wheel via a final shaft drive.
