Yamaha has secured the second jewel that adorns the triple crown of this year's MotoGP season. After Movistar Yamaha clawed the 2015 MotoGP Team Title at Aragon, well ahead of the season’s end, it's now time for the Factory itself to celebrate a new Manufacturers' Title.
2015 brings the 14th Manufacturers' Title in the premier class, two rounds before the season end in Valencia, in November. House Iwata can brag on five MotoGP titles, nine 500GP ones, plus 14 in the 250cc class, accompanied by four in the 125cc class and five 350cc.
With this year's performance, Yamaha is now on par with MV Agusta, the second most successful manufacturer ever across all classes. Honda is in the lead at the moment, being almost twice as successful
The only manufacturer to win the triple crown three times in a row
The 2015 MotoGP Rider Title will also go to Yamaha, as Rossi and Lorenzo are the two battling for it. Rossi currently leads the championship, while Lorenzo, 11 points behind, is the only rider that can make serious claims for the crown.
Even if Rossi and Lorenzo don’t race at all in the two remaining rounds and Marquez wins, his current 222 points are not enough to beat Lorenzo's 285, let alone Rossi's 296, so the deal is done. This will be the fifth Triple Crown for Yamaha. At the same time, House Iwata remains the only one to have secured three triples in a row, after a dominant 2008-2010 period.

We introduced the 360fly camera to you ahead of its debut in stores, with a spectacular video in the Isle of Man. Not only that the 360fly camera is now available but Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo has become the global brand ambassador for the product.
Unfortunately, we are not getting MotoGP racing action from the 360fly cameras, at least not this year. Still, the Mallorcan will be using the 360fly during his on- and off-track training sessions, so we can expect some pretty interesting imaging.

We can only wish that 360-degree cameras become standard equipment on the GP bikes, as they can deliver a whole new level of immersion in what road racing is like. With GoPro being the official action camera of the series, things may not be as simple as we guess. Anyway, we are waiting for the first 360fly footage aboard any of Lorenzo's bikes.
