Yamaha announces their all-new D'elight scooters, a fresh presence in the European line-up. Clearly drawing its cues from Vespa's lines and boasting a modern-retro attire, the 2014 Yamaha D'elight promises quite a lot of urban fun.
The 125cc-class performance comes from an 114cc 4-stroke engine which promises quite running, strong acceleration and usable top-speed for those who like more wing in their hair. The lightweight design is helped by allow wheels and the use of modern materials, so the 2014 D'elight brags on a 98 kg mass (216 lbs).
180mm front disc brakes ensure dependable stopping force, while the low seat makes a good reassuring feature for the less experienced riders. Equally usable by gents and ladies, the 2014 D'elight also offers underseat storage for a jet helmet.
With smooth surfaces and flush-mounted signals, a stitched 2-up seat and the nimble character of a much smaller 2-wheeler, the 2014 Yamaha D'elight will be available in 3 colors: milky white, midnight black and magnetic bronze. Price TBA.
