World’s Worst Mechanic Forgets to Strap SUV on Tow Truck, It Rolls Off

This is not a joke. The incident happened earlier this month, as the mechanic was preparing to take a car to the shop. He had loaded it on the tow truck bed but he failed to secure it or, for that matter, to make sure it was in the right position. You probably guessed where this is going: the car rolled off the bed backwards, and onto the street with what we assume was a very loud bang.

The mechanic first tried to stop it with his hands, but then decided against a more definite course of action, so he ran at the car, opened the door and hit the brakes. But that was just the beginning of his troubles.

As the car rolled off the bed, it send the tow truck rolling forward because, indeed, the mechanic had failed to put it in Park. So, after he hit the brakes on the car, he ran after his own truck. This time, he got there too late, as it stopped by hitting another truck, which had been parked on the side of the street.

The video was posted to Viral Hog with a-too-simple caption: “My mechanic shop didn’t strap the car to the tow bed correctly.” Commenters to the post add what’s missing: this was the mechanic’s last day on the job or on any other similar job, because he is clearly the world’s worst.

On a more serious note, truck drivers should always make sure they secure their cargo, especially if it’s something as large (and valuable) as another car. In this case, he was lucky no one was hurt, though by the looks on the faces of the other 2 dudes in the video, there was considerable damage. #FacePalm
