The design of the Volvo Amazon Estate is now 50 year old, but we’re not going to talk about any ordinary piece of Swedish steel. No, this is the famous turbocharged Amazon that drag races Ferraris and has them eating out of its palm.
It was created by Mattiass Vocks, who works for Koenigsegg and knows a thing or two about turbocharging. Power comes from a 2.8-liter turbocharged inline-six made by Volvo. Thanks to some extreme mods, this now makes no less than 799 PS and 980Nm (723 lb-ft) when running on E85 fuel.
Obviously, the car is not stock any more, as the rear doors have been removed, the interior is fool of scaffolding an there are a whole bunch of upgrades - brakes and a diff from the Koenigsegg CC8S and a 6-speed transmission from Getrag.
We know that it can outpace a 458 Italia, so the asking price must be huge, right? Well no, since the online auction it's on says Mattias wants €89,300 ($109,500) for it.
