Since Spectre is freshly wrapped and currently on its way to theaters, Daniel Craig figured he may as well make some pocket change aside starring as the British spy in the latest James Bond installment. There’s no Aston Martin DB10 involved since the chase is being conducted on water instead of tarmac, but it’s still worth watching.
The beauty of the bespoke two-door coupe Aston Martin - the most prominent car brand for in the entire series - is almost unspeakable. And it had to be that way, considering this particular edition continues the tradition, with Aston Martins having featured in several 007 films. Sure, we also know that the British spy never actually drove anything other than Bentley cars in the novels, but you know how the movie industry is.

Getting back to the giant beer maker’s new ad, it’s important to mention that the beer’s traditional code - that of a man of the world marketing strategy - was broken this time. Instead of a man saving the day, which should have been James Bond, it’s a woman becoming the Heineken character.

There’s another interesting detail, and forgive us for spoiling it for you. The commercial also features a cameo from Herve Villechaize, the actor who played the evil henchman Nick Nack in the 1974 film Man With The Golden Gun. The change is not just about who the savior of the day is (actress Zara Prassinot, for those who were wondering), but also refers to the beverage the famous character is having, which traditionally would be martinis.

With the giant beer maker’s marketing involvement, we should aspect to see Bond drinking a beer for a change in the movie, something that has happened before in 2012’s Skyfall.

Hey, it’s always about who is paying more, and according to The Guardian, it’s Heineken this time. The company is the only partner of the Bond film allowed to make an ad starring Craig, whereas everybody else will have to use stock footage from Bond films.
