Here’s a video that probably sums up what many men still think about letting the Missus take the wheel: a wife crashing into her husband’s pickup truck, right in their driveway.
We’re not going to discuss here whether women are truly as bad drivers as they say, but we will say this: this particular woman doesn’t deserve any credit for her skills behind the wheel. Because she seems to have none.

The footage was captured on the couple’s CCTV camera mounted on their driveway, at the end of last month. The Daily Mail says it happened in Des Moines, Iowa, as husband and wife were getting ready to go to work, each in his own car.

You can see the video at the bottom of the page, too. A red Toyota pickup backs out of the garage first and comes to a full stop before leaving the driveway: the driver is clearly waiting for traffic. A red Toyota Prius then pulls out of the garage almost immediately, but this driver is clearly more in a hurry.

In fact, it seems that the second driver is in so much hurry that they won’t even check the rear mirror, so the car backs straight into the pickup truck. The husband gets out, pulls a few hairs in frustration and screams at the wife, who, at this point, is also emerging from the second car: “Are you f***ing blind?”

Blind, she is not – only reckless and not paying enough attention. “My wife and I were leaving for work, I was waiting for traffic, and she wasn’t,” the husband is quoted as saying, after footage of the stupid crash went viral.

As you can imagine, reactions to the video range from “I told you women suck as drivers” to “Dude’s to blame for not backing out sooner” and “Had this happen to me, no big deal.” Whether you choose to see it as proof of women’s lack of driving skills or not, you must admit it’s funny – in a very stupid way.
