Whoops, I've Just Missed the Corner

Speeding and speed-triggered rider errors are some of the most common motorcycle accidents which do not involve crashing with another vehicle, and this footage depicts one of the errors which are to be seen on an almost daily basis: missing the corner.
Coming in too hot and realizing things are not going as they should be can trigger the infamous target fixation and prevent the rider from taking the necessary actions to mend the situation, whether it's about harder leaning, readjusting the braking method, finding an escape route in case of potential collision with roadside objects or other stationary vehicles and so on.

When cornering is involved, statistics tend to see excessive speed as the cause for missing a turn: riders are either riding at speeds way above the limit where they can safely handle a bike, or are utterly lacking the necessary on road skills for negotiating sharper turns or high-speed cornering.
