Webber Says Ferrari, Hamilton Are Tough Rivals in Australia

Heading to his home race this weekend, Australian driver Mark Webber admitted that he will be keeping an eye on at least 4 drivers for the Sunday action. First he has his teammate Sebastian Vettel to take care of, as the German admitted he'll be looking for some sweet revenge following Webber's win at the Nurburgring last year.

More importantly though, Webber reckoned that the two Ferrari drivers and Lewis Hamilton will be very tough to beat in Melbourne, based on their overall performance during the season opening Bahrain Grand Prix.

You can never discount both Ferrari drivers, and particularly Lewis (Hamilton) - who looked like he had a particularly good weekend in Bahrain once he got past Nico (Rosberg), so it is exciting. I am looking forward to it actually,” said Webber in an interview with Autosport.

Talking about their chances to do a follow-up of their Bahrain performances in Melbourne, Ferrari's Fernando Alonso insisted that everybody in Maranello should forget about the early success in 2010 and start from scratch Down Under. Like Hamilton – who praised his good performances in Melbourne over the years – Alonso reckoned Red Bull are the team to beat this season.

At the end of the day we are not a small team, but we are still Red Bull Racing and the job they have done is incredible. If you look at last year, what they have done there, and then look at this year, to roll out with not a big change in regulations, we could have been a bit exposed, but the car is clearly a very good evolution of the RB5,” admitted Webber.
