There are just a few weeks before the start of UEFA Euro 2020. To commemorate the occasion, Hublot is releasing the Big Bang E Connected timepiece so that soccer fans can now wear their very own virtual stadium around their wrist.
After a year delay due to the ongoing health crisis, fans worldwide are finally getting ready to enjoy the 16th UEFA Championship. To celebrate the event that will take place for a whole month, starting with June 11th, the Swiss watchmaker designed its first luxury smartwatch.
The new Hublot Big Bang E 42mm comes in all-black, focusing attention on the ceramic bezel, which displays the colors of the flags of the 12 countries that were supposed to host the competition.
The brand's classical Big Bang architecture is combined with the 30.8mm AMOLED display. While its front anti-reflective sapphire crystal ensures that the timepiece is easy to use, the rotary crown's push-button gives it a very mechanical feel. The back case is engraved with the UEFA Euro 2020 logo to represent the limited edition of 200 pieces released to commemorate the occasion.
Big Bang E is powered by the WearOS by Google software that allows users to follow the competition in real-time through an app specially dedicated to football matches. With a 24h-power reserve, fans will be able to follow timekeeping, half-time, extra time, and the end of the game.
Plus, the smartwatch will also warn the wearer of cards awarded, player substitutions, penalties, and goals. Statistics on the starting lineups for each game, as well as players' rankings and their positions on the field, will also be available.
Users will also be able to download dials in the color of their country from the app store. Hublot completed the Big Bang E UEFA Euro 2020 with a comfortable black rubber strap and matching titanium deployant buckle clasp. Additionally, the strap can be customized in the colors of the fans' favorite teams.
The Big Bang E UEFA Euro 2020 is priced at $5,800. Considering that its last football limited edition piece was around $7,000, this is not the priciest one out there from its luxury watch collection. Its design and platform make it a must for any soccer and luxury watch enthusiast.
