AMG DTM pilot Gary Paffett is one of the veterans and currently the most successful active driver in the German racing series, with no less than 20 victories during his ten-year career. Christian Vietoris, on the other hand, is one of the underdog rookies, driving for the Mercedes-Benz Junior Team in DTM.
At first we though it would seem a bit unnerving for Paffett to trust his much younger team mate so much that he would get chauffeured by him at a pretty reasonable amount of speed around one of the most dangerous racing tracks in the world.
On second though, the truth is that Christian Vietoris is a local Nurburgring hero and one of the best upcoming stars of the DTM racing series, so Paffett was in pretty good hands.
Nevertheless, the Nordschleife isn't nicknamed the “Green Hell” for being a beginner's racing track with lots of green hill, and the car chosen for the short roller-coaster ride around it is a fire-spitting Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG.
All in all, the short video of the feat is pretty enjoyable, as there is more than one occasion when Paffett seems a bit... let's say distressed about the whole experience as a passenger.
