Walt Siegl is building some of the most exquisite custom Ducati street bikes, and he's riding two of his own on the race track, too. After years of asphalt scorching and high-speed abuse, Walt thought that he could really use a new machine with classic looks and will no battle scars, so he teamed up with Bruce Meyers of Ducati BCM Racing fame for the job.
Since Walt loves the look of classic racers, he asked Bruce to skip any extravagant upgrades for his new ride, and Bruce gladly accepted. The 990 SS engine was overhauled with lighter pistons and higher-grade cams, and Bruce did some reworking on the cylinder heads, too, while the flywheel was reduced to half the stock weight.

Since the new racer was based on the Leggero and its 4130 chromoly frame was already close to perfection in terms of strength and lightweight construction, there was no chassis work involved. An Öhlins rear shock came into place for more stability and road copying in aggressive racing conditions.

On the aesthetic side, Walt's new racing Leggero received a completely new bodywork made in vacuum-formed urethane and a bright, pleasantly violent paint job in racing red with bright green accents and white piping, strikingly bold and awesome, altogether.

Finally, Conti-like long and thin dual exhausts added the final touch to this amazing machine. Given the headlight and license plate holder, we can only figure out that Walt is planing to ride the very bike to the tack...
