First revealed at the 2012 Lipezig Motor Show, this spring, the Volkswagen Scirocco GTS is now available for sale all across Europe. Prices in Germany Start at €28,100, and rise to €33,525, depending on engine choices and optional extras.
The available powerplants are a 160 hp 1.4-liter TSI, a 2.0-liter 210 hp TSI unit and VW’s 2.0-liter TDI, with either 140 hp or 170 hp. So far it’s just a regular Scirocco, but the GTS offers some unique details, to set it apart from other cars, such as stripe decals running across the length of the car, red mirrors, and if you were to opt for the top of the range 2.0 TSI, the brake calipers are also painted red.

Also, the standard 18-inch wheels that the GTS comes with can be swapped for even larger 19-inch rims, which are an expensive and frankly useless optional extra, which probably ruins the ride comfort completely. Finishing off the look is the rear spoiler, sourced from the ‘R’, as well as a redesigned rear bumper with an integrated diffuser.

Inside, the Scirocco GTS gets black leather seats with contrasting red stitching, piano black accents, a flat-bottomed steering wheel which gets the same black leather and red stitching treatment. Some GTS logos, scattered around, as well as a special gear knob finish off the interior ambiance.
