VW CC Gold Coast Brings High Power, Luxury Features

Beside several other concepts launched by Volkswagen at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, the German carmaker also debuted the CC “Gold Coast”, a special new prototype which combines high engine performance with luxury features and modern interior. The car features almost the same Volkswagen front-end but customized “with two cross-struts and a centrally placed Volkswagen logo between trapezoidal headlamps is highlighted by the ground effects on the CC Gold Coast.”

The sporty look of the car is also supplied by the newly-developed spoiler with additional rear-end ground effects while the 19-inch Lugano polished propeller style wheels enhance the luxurious look of the vehicle.

Beside all of these, the interior is based on luxurious leather, “a combination of Latte Macchiatto, Cornsilk with Bronze Piping on the seats with matching accents on the dash and door trim,” as Volkswagen said in a press statement published today.
“The rear end of the coupé is also marked by large-surface dual taillights that produce an unmistakable visual image day and night. The CC Gold Coast features DuPont’s Pepe Pepper, which compliments the cars design characteristic with a rich mix of gold, brown and silver tones.”

More importantly, Volkswagen's CC Gold Coast boasts a 3.6-liter FSI engine which develops a maximum power of 280 horsepower mixed with torque rated at 265 lb-ft. The DSG double-clutch system is connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic while the front brakes are now based on R8 Ceramic brakes.

“The Volkswagen CC Gold Coast highlights powerful performance, strong lines and luxury touches, combining the emotional and expressive stance of a sports coupé with the convenience of a luxury sedan,” Volkswagen added in the press release.
