VOS might not be a premium name in the tuning of BMWs but that didn’t stop the German tuner to put together a nice package for the new M4. And since we’ve seen what the S55 3-liter twin-turbo mill is capable of with a little TLC from a proper tuner, let’s check out what these guys have in store.
According to their press release, the complete package for the M4 includes a new ECU map that takes the output up to 550 HP and 710 Nm (520 lb-ft) of torque, numbers that are staggering, to say the least. By comparison, the S63 4.4-liter V8 on the M5 makes 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft).

Unfortunately, the guys don’t tell us more about the way this added power came to be but they do mention a new stainless steel exhaust that is a must in such cases. The problem is, the said exhaust costs €4,890, a rather hefty sum, to be honest.

The ECU tune will set you back €2,490 and will also bring a removal of the car’s standard top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The chassis was improved thanks to a KW Clubsport V3 Coilover system that, once again, proves to be a bit pricey at €4,199.

Up front and in the back, considering that the power output went up this much, new brakes were needed, and these are amongst the most expensive upgrades you can get. Changing both sets of calipers will set you back €9,850 in total, split between €5,425 and €4,425, front and back.

That’s on par with BMW’s own offering of Carbon Ceramic Brakes and that’s probably going to be the hardest decision to make when thinking about upgrading your car’s brakes as both options are a noticeable improvement of the standard system.

Last but not least, the guys from VOS are also offering visual tweaks, like carbon fiber mirror caps (€599), a carbon rear diffuser (€799) and a set of 20” wheels that come with Vredestein tires for €4,595.
