We’ve seen both of these cars racing on the famous drag strip in Russia before but not against each other. The time has come for them to meet up in a dogfight to settle which is best once and for all.
They do, to some extent, stand for different car cultures if you will. The BMW represents the European way of doing fast cars. It’s built around the principle that you don’t necessarily need massive amounts of horsepower and torque to be fast.

What that means is that you only need as much as you can carry. Anything extra will be lost because you’ll either end up losing traction or fail at putting all those horses down.

In the case of the BMW M4, the car we’re looking at was indeed tuned but not to extreme lengths. It has 550 HP instead of the stock 431 HP thanks to a stage 2 upgrade. The rear tires/wheel have also been changed trying to gain some traction off the line.

On the other hand, the Corvette ZR1 comes with an engine that is more than twice as big and has over 700 HP. That’s the pure definition of a muscle car if you will and it embodies what American cars manufacturers have been doing for quite some time.

The 1/4-mile drag racing concept was centered around such cars in the first place. And this is what we’re dealing with here. So, who’s going to win it, the 720 HP bruiser or the 550 HP athlete? Let’s check it out!
