Specialist supercharger maker Vortech teased what's it going to showcase at this year's SEMA show in Vegas, which will kick off on November 4th at the posh Las Vegas Convention Center. However, there's nothing posh about this poisonous orange pony.
For the 2015 model year, the Blue Oval gave the Mustang GT's 5-liter V8 mill a hefty 435 ponies and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque, meaning the new breed is no slouch. But there's always room for improvement and this is where Vortech comes on the scene.

Nevermind the 20-inch black wheels, orange brake calipers, the Competition Orange exterior hue or the carbon fiber lip up front. The V-3 Si self-lubricated supercharger bolted on top of that 5L Coyote vee eight is the real deal here. In its most friendly tune, the extra bit of kit will pump out 640 horsepower and 485 lb-ft with a boost pressure of just 7.5 to 8.5 psi.

The V-3 Si self lubricates its internals thanks to a dedicated oil reservoir. The blower also employs a fluid drain hose for simple oil changes without removing the supercharger. In addition to it, Vortech also throws in a high-flow air inlet assembly to an OEM airbox, while optional extras include a competition air inlet, an 8-rib drive charger upgrade, as well as Maxflow biller race and fuel FPB pump voltage booster upgrades.

However, 775 tire roasting horsepower are available when opting for a basic Tuner Kit and other light modifications. Of course, the Vortech supercharging pack includes an air-to-air cooler for the additional horsepower gain, but if you need extreme performance, there's something really good in store for you.

For the 2015 S550 Mustang, Vortech is offering a 1,200 horsepower tune that employs a heavy-duty V-7 YSi supercharger, but don't you dare ask us for the price because it's not exactly a cheap and cheerful pony.
