Volvo will end production at its Uddevalla site in Sweden, where the company had previously run join-venture with Pininfarina, which leaves the C70 model without a production line.
Volvo hasn’t mentioned if folding metal roof cabrio’s production will be continued, or where it could be relocated. We have to note that the S40 and V50 have already been discontinued for 2012, so the C70 could follow.

The decision has been taken due to the fact that the plant was only operating at 65 percent of its capacity, only producing the aforementioned model, so its business cars just couldn’t stand up anymore. The company said that the 600 workers at Uddevalla will be offered jobs at other company sites.
