Volkswagen Will Have a Cloud-Shaped Exhibition Stand in Frankfurt

Volkswagen to arrive on a cloud to Frankfurt 1 photo

We have to admit that there isn’t much of what Volkswagen has promised to bring to this year’s Frankfurt motor show that got our blood boiling. There’s that little Nils Concept we brought you last week, but there’s no way us supercar lovers would be seen in one of those, plus the new Up! city car.
However, the German carmaker already has an impressive amount of cars in its lineup, and what better way to make them shine than to bring most of them to Frankfurt. Taking advantage of the home turf advantage, Volkswagen will have a missive exhibition area this year, measuring 97,000 square feet or close to 9,000 square meters. That’s about as big as a small shopping mall’s floor.

The exhibition hall is shaped to look like a cloud when viewed from above and will have sufficient space for the carmaker to display 50 cars, with the little Up! taking center stage, followed by the new Beetle, facelifted Tiguan and the Golf Cabriolet.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
