Volkswagen introduced the five-door version of the Up! city car yesterday and now we’re back on the subject, but we have to move at the other end of the performance scale, as the company has decided that the Up! GT Concept will enter production.
According to Pistonheads, VW will offer a sporty version of the Up!, which will be an entry-level warm hatch. The vehicle is expected to offer over 100 hp (this might not sound like much, but we have to remember the size of the car).
The car will also be fitted with other tech mods, such as a lowered suspension and a set of 17-inch rims. The VW Up! GT will come with a series of visual elements that will allow it to be distinguished from the standard versions, with the goodies including a new front fascia, a bold roof spoiler and others.
