The 275 hp bio natural gas race car will be manhandled by motorsport heroes such as Sebastian Vettel (F1 driver), Mick Doohan (motorcycle champion) and Tom Kristensen (Le Mans legend). Other famous racing names that will take part in the event include Michael Schumacher, Alain Prost (Formula 1), Sebastien Loeb (World Rally Championship), Andy Priaulx (World Touring Car Championship), Carl Edwards (NASCAR) and Travis Pastrana (Motocross).
"The use of pure bio natural gas reduces emissions of environmentally harmful carbon dioxide by one fifth. Bio natural gas is a purely natural product. It is made in Germany primarily from biogenous waste materials. At the Race of Champions in Düsseldorf the Cup-Scirocco will be the only vehicle in the field to use an alternative drive concept. In 2010 the Scirocco R-Cup celebrated its much-noted inaugural season in which new sporting concepts in the form of the Pro, Junior and Legends Cup and spectacular races using the push-to-pass system were realised,"
