Volkswagen has replaced the SE trim level from the Passat range, with a new and higher spec variant, called Highline.
It adds to the equipment buyers have become accustomed to on SE-trim cars, new features such as a touchscreen navigation unit, front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control and ‘Sao Paolo’ 17-inch alloy rims.

If each of the aforementioned options were to be specified separately, the total cost would be £1,680, yet the price hike over the SE is £500, so it is definitely a good deal.

This means that a Highline trim car, fitted with the 1.4-liter TSI engine, with 122 hp retails at £20,970. It is also available with other engines, such as the 1.8-liter TSI unit, with 160 hp, the 1.6-liter TDI diesel with 105 hp and the 2.0-liter TDI with 140 hp.

It can be specified on both the saloon and the estate version of the Passat, and is available for order now.
