Volkswagen used this year’s edition of the Tokyo Motor Show to give us its vision on the van of the future, introducing the eT postal van.
The concept was created together with Deutsche Post and the University of Art at Braunschweig and can be operate via a joystick, allowing postal operators to do their job more efficient. We now have a video that shows the vehicle in action.
The eT comes with electric individual wheel hub motors, being perfectly suitable for urban use.
“As a vision of the future, the eT is showcasing what is the maximum feasible technology for electric vehicles in the commercial market today with a special design that systematically addresses future customer needs," said Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber, head of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
