With enough imagination and spare time, one could do literally anything. Sure, when it comes to engineering, some skill is required too, but this guy, a chap by the name Brent Walter, seems to have plenty of that too.
There’s probably no one on the planet not familiar with the Volkswagen Beetle. The car has been around for so long, and is so famous, that the simple mentioning of its name is sure to cause some type of reaction.

With so many of them just lying around, it’s no wonder from time to time we get to see a Beetle converted into something else entirely. But never before have we seen anything like this.

Earlier this year, before the heat of the summer was upon us, Brent Walter began posting on social media images of himself riding a minibike contraption of his own design. Baptized Volkspod, the minibikes are nothing more than Volkswagen Beetle fenders on wheels.

Having stripped them from whatever Beetle he found (word is he used a Bug remodeled by himself a while back, then stripped), Walter fitted the fenders on minibike chassis, gifted them with handlebars and a saddle, and off he went.

At the beginning of November, the guy posted images of two such machines, apparently fully completed. You can check them out in the gallery above.

As far as we understand, the engine of each minibike develops 6.5 horsepower, enough to carry around a full grown adult at decent speeds.

Presently, Walter is allegedly working on Version 2.0 of the bikes, that should come with more power, bigger tires, and more ground clearance, in case one needs to go over some grass or something.

It’s unclear whether the guy plans to sell these things, but if you want to find out more you can check his Instagram or Facebook accounts.
