If there's one thing Americans love more than a strong military and an even stronger economy, it's classic V8 pickup trucks. There is a seemingly endless hoard of people ready to disembowel their own bank accounts to get within a few feet of an unrestored, factory-condition V8 Chevy Truck from the late 80s and early 90s.
If you consider yourself among that group of people, here's your holy grail. You're welcome, by the way. In all seriousness, the C/K series Chevy Truck with the factory 454-cubic inch (7.4-liter) V8 is, to some people, more valuable than any supercar from the same era. Coming to us via a WeBe Autos out of Calverton, Long Island, New York, it doesn't get much better than a black-on-black, completely unrestored 454 Chevy Truck.

Of course, being bone stock isn't always positive. It is a little bit of a bummer when all the factory emissions restrictions are present, leaving this burly V8 to make just 230 horsepower. But on the other side of the same coin, that only means more value in the long run. An odometer indicated mileage of 4,888 miles (7,866.4 km) will also play greatly into the astronomical pricetag for what, at the end of the day, is still a very old Chevy Truck.

With modern pickups being what they are, it can be easy to forget how spartan vehicles in this class used to be. That's why it's all the nicer this model has the factory air conditioning, power brakes, windows and locks, and power steering. Even the red velvet interior is all original and looks as fresh as the last time it had a detail.

From every angle and to nearly every subjective set of eyeballs, an old Chevy Truck in this great shape is a national treasure that needs to be preserved. There's only one way a Chevy Truck from this time period stays this nice for this long. That's by staying parked in a climate-controlled garage for long stretches of time. According to the owners, nothing has ever even so much as touched the rear pickup bed. So no need to worry about it being scratched to high-holy heaven, leading to inevitable rust pitting.

The only two items not completely from the factory on this truck are the new tonneau cover for the rear bed and the Flowmaster custom muffler and a current set of aftermarket alloy wheels. Of course, like a gentleman, the original owner saved the factory muffler and wheels if you decide to put them back on. All in all, it's not hard to understand why a certain set would drool over this, like a Ferrari or an M3 from the same era. The price for it all? $42,995 before taxes and fees. We're only surprised it didn't amount to $50 grand. If anything, it's a real bargain.
