Imagine the desert in its large emptiness, the sun shinning bright and the mountains far in the back. It’s quiet and everything seems dead, when suddenly flames burst in the air and, piece-by-piece, a Ford Mustang is born. Seconds after, the muscle car roars away and an entire city rises from the ground as the sand turns into a highway. It's pretty much how you'd describe The Crew’s launch trailer Ubisoft just released.
The Crew is an online racing video game set in a large open world environment and that is the exact feeling you get once you watch the trailer. La Ferrari and Ford Mustang meet on the streets, race across the United States as the music keeps playing and the engines go loud. It takes an hour and a half to drive from coast to coast in-game. The single-player campaign is 20 hours long and entails infiltrating criminal groups with protagonist Alex Taylor.

Players can also participate in mini-games called skills that are peppered across the world. The gamers’ scores are automatically saved so friends can try and beat theirs, in similar fashion to how Autolog works in games of the Need for Speed franchise. You can play the mission by yourself, with friends or online with co-op matchmaking. If you opt for the multiplayer mode there is an 8-player limit to compete in races and other game types.

We don’t usually care too much about games, but we have to admit we’re quite impressed by this one so we thought sharing it with you guys is the least we can do. Check out the trailer below, you’ll like it.
