For those of you that aren’t too familiar with of console games, the PlayStation crowd with a love for realistic racing simulators have a lot to choose from. It’s debatable, but if we were to choose our favorite game of the lot, that would be Gran Turismo 6.
This popular and critically acclaimed series of racing games has been around since the first generation of the PlayStation console. Since 1997, Polyphony Digital’s creation sold well over 70 million copies, a feat that translates to the highest-selling video game franchise sold under the PlayStation brand.

With that much status, it’s hardly that big a wonder some carmakers tease their upcoming concept or production models through the 3D magic of Gran Turismo. The newest member of this high-class club is the Corvette Vision GT Concept, which makes us wonder what Chevrolet is cooking up for us right now.

From the teaser shot uploaded on social networks by official Corvette accounts, it’s easy to tell we’re looking at an open top, barchetta-like roadster variant of Chevy’s iconic sports car. The Vision GT gets a racecar-inspired wind deflector to protect the driver from getting a cold. Speaking of which, the driver's wearing a helmet, a detail that hints there’s something special in store for Corvette and GT6 enthusiasts.

We aren’t the type to wildly speculate like some British automotive outfits, but it may be possible this may be either a glimpse at the future C8 Corvette or that decades-long rumor about a mid-engined Vette.

All in all, there’s only one thing left to mention - the Corvette Facebook page wants us to stay tuned because ”when you combine the passion of the video gamer community with the passion of Corvette fans, you get the surprise we have in store for you in a few days.”
