Ford Performance Vehicles, which is the Blue Oval's skunkworks division from the Land Down Under, has announced that the most powerful Falcon GT ever will help the fight against breast cancer by auctioning two examples of the breed on eBay Australia.
Propelled by a potent 5-liter V8 powerplant that churns out 351 kW (477 horsepower) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque thanks to the aid of a supercharger, this is one of the fastest and most special sedans ever sold in this part of the world. That generous oomph is taken care of by a good ol' rear-wheel drive chassis featuring rear camber bolt adjustment on the rear suspension. Only 500 examples will ever be made, each selling for AUD 77,990 without touching the options lists. Who knows, maybe these two FPV's will sell for less dough than what Ford Australia asks for in the dealership.

Those two Falcons are the first and the last FPV GT F 351s in the production run. The first one (pictured above) has already been made and it's finished in Kinetic Blue with matte black go-faster stripes, while the 500th GT F 351 will be customized according to the winning bidder's preferences. Slated to hit the virtual auction block on August 17th, all proceeds will go to breast cancer research, adding to the $125 million Ford globally has donated during more than 20 years of support, and Ford of Australia’s $1.2 million contribution to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

“We are using the power of our most powerful GT ever to help the National Breast Cancer Foundation further fund breast cancer research,” said Bob Graziano, Ford Australia CEO. “These two iconic vehicles are the result of the innovation and passion of Ford and its engineers, and we aim to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the equally passionate researchers in their bid to achieve a future of zero deaths from breast cancer."

"We are totally committed to this cause and moving forward, one of the key priorities will be continuing our support of the communities in which we live and work, along with the broader Australian community,” concluded Mr. Graziano. Carole Renouf, the National Breast Cancer Foundation's CEO, was delighted to learn of the Blue Oval's generosity. “At the National Breast Cancer Foundation we’ve long been very appreciative of Ford’s support but this is quite unexpected,” she replied.
