As always, as the end of the year approaches, the awards for the car of the year start showing up. This year, two BMW models made it in the extended list for the 2014 North American Car and Truck of the Year.
In the Car category, the initial list comprises 29 vehicles, amongst them the recently released BMW 4 Series. Its competition is made up of cars like the Cadillac CTS, ELR, Chevrolet Corvette, Jaguar F-Type, Maserati Ghbili and many others (check the attached pdf for the complete list).
In the Truck/Utility Vehicle category we find the 2014 BMW F15 X5, another new release from BMW, a car that has yet to be reviewed and driven. The Bimmer stands against the likes of Acura MDX, Buick Encore, Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra and many others (also listed in the attached pdf).
Whether the two BImmers will get the coveted award we'll just have to wait and see but judging by the initial thoughts on the cars, they might very well make it. Keep your fingers crossed!
