Scheduled to be launched at the end of the year as a 2014 model, the facelifted Land Rover Discovery was recently caught testing by our spy photographers.
While the vehicle comes with few design changes, including new headlamps, slim LED stripes, like the ones seen on the Range Rover Evoque, revised bumpers, and a restyled front grille, more important modification are to be applied to its drivetrain.
The updated Discovery will gain Land Rover’s new supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine rated at 340 HP and 332 lb-ft of torque and an eight-speed automatic transmission instead of the current six-speed gearbox for improved fuel economy.
Inside, the 2014 Land Rover Discovery could arrive with a revised dashboard, a new steering wheel, as well as other minor updates all around the cabin.
Just in case you missed it, you can also have a look at our new spyshots of the Range Rover Long Wheelbase SUV.
