Turbo LSX GMC Syclone Roasts Dodge Challenger Hellcat and Other Muscle Cars

Before we move any further, we have to explain we're dealing with an actual Syclone here, which means the sacrilege aura is strong with this one - for the record, General Motors built less than 3,000 units of this go-fast pickup truck, so its obvious this build will get its fair share of pointed fingers.

In order to deliver the kind of performance that might justify the sacrilege, the turbo V6 was scrapped in favor of an LSX. The engine compartment now houses a 408 block with a stroker kit, while the boost comes from a massive Turbonetics unit.

In the transmission department, We find a 4L80E automatic. More importantly, the truck has kept its all-wheel-drive setup. In fact, the rear diff is still stock and already has some 130,000 miles on it. As you'll be able to see in the video, the owner does discuss this aspect, but we can't quite tell if he's being serious or not when mentioning the fact that there's still enough life left in the hardware.

The not-so-blue-collar machine was recently taken to a half-mile event, where it had to face more traditional high-velocity machines. Well, from a C6-generation Z06 Corvette with custom heads and cams to a Dodge Challenger Hellcat and a tuned S550 Mustang, this GMC managed to show its bed to its competitors, as you'll be able to see in the video below.

And given all the work under the hood, this GMC manages to deliver quite a surprise in terms of aural experience.

P.S.: Oh well, at least this project sticks to the GM parts bin, so there will be no Ford rear end here.
